God is love
If man could only comprehend
The magnitude of this simple sentence
Then the greatest wisdom of all would have been attained
Love is patient…
An all-powerful God continues to coax an unrelenting people
To mend their ways.
Love is kind…
A God who hearkened to the cries of his people
In the affliction they had brought upon themselves because of their sins
And stretched out his mighty hand
Love is gentle…
The God who made the rambling mountains, the dangerous precipices
And the vast universe also made the delicate petals of a rose
And painstakingly designed the wings of the beautiful butterfly
Love does not seek its own way…
The all-powerful God could have compelled us,
Who are but specks before him to obey and worship
But instead gave us a will of our own and a choice to do what is right
Greater love had not a man than he lays his life for his brothers
God showed an undying love
Through His dying Son
A special being devoid of all sin and unrighteousness
He was sent with a message
A seed borne out of love for a perverse and lost generation
A depraved mankind on its way to destruction
He loved us
Didn’t even spare his only son
His son’s blood was all it took to save us forever
Oh God, What love!
That we may grasp the wonders of this emotion
Love is not just feeling
Neither is it passing or based on circumstances brought before you
Love is God
For if you have not love, you have not God
Love is your one-way ticket to the throne room of God
Little wonder, God is love
And as Jesus said I am in my father and my father is in me
So Jesus is love and also the way, the truth and the life.
I love you
Like a thief in the night,
He has promised to return for his own,
Pure rapture to be caught up with Him,
Never to be separated again.
Rapture for some, chaos for others
As the world is unexpectedly thrust into an event predicted long ago.
Much wailing is heard and gnashing of teeth
As mother is separated from daughter,
husband from wife.
Could it have been prevented?
Alas no, for what God has spoken will surely not return to him void
Then perhaps more could have been warned of the glorious arrival of the Lamb,
But alas, the Christians tried but more of them were concerned with being found worthy enough to be raptured
Than telling others of the woe that would befall those who missed the glorious respite from the world before the onset of doom.
Would one call them selfish?
Not at all for the basic message of truth, the salvation given us by Jesus Christ was preached a long time ago to all who would listen and believe
For righteousness and an easy passage to heaven were assured by accepting Him as Lord and Savior.
He who wins a soul is wise!
